Re: Season 2 Recruiting News

The bricks to the foundation in the rebuilding of Wake Forest continue to get set in place. This past week Wake Forest received two commitments bringing their total to six. The Demon Deacons added depth to the Defensive tackle position by adding one star junco player James Godfrey (60 overall) 6'3" 260lbs from Hamilton Alabama. The Demon Deacons are graduating four seniors from the DT position and Godfrey will likely be in the rotation next year, along with senior starter Daniel Vogelsang. With the second commitment of the week Wake Forest added three star corner back Andre Dunn (62 overall) 5'10" 169lbs from Washington North Carolina. Andre was the 34th ranked corner in the nation and will redshirt his freshman year as the Demon Deacons host depth at the corner back position.

Re: Season 2 Recruiting News

San Jose State has added its second commit with Juco sophomore CB Charles Griffin. San Jose State has had several great visits in the past few weeks and is hopeful they'll add more solid depth soon.

Re: Season 2 Recruiting News

FIU has reeled in 2 more recruits, getting signatures from 4* CB Andre White and 5* T Brett Goodman, the first bluechip recruit in school history. Goodman has the potential to take over one of the 2 starting T jobs next season, but looks to be an anchor on the o-line for years to come regardless. FIU now has 4 CB commits and 1 T commit, addressing areas of big need for next year. One large hole left to fill is at RB, where the teams top 2 leading rushers are set to graduate.

Re: Season 2 Recruiting News

North Texas added some depth at qb this week in signing 3* QB J. Hancock 67(+5). He isn't expected to start for several years, but he could be the backup qb with 2 departing qb seniors this year.

North Texas also lost out SS C. Carlson to Washington State, NT will be fine next year at SS when last year's transfer SS S. Sedberry will be eligible to play.

Re: Season 2 Recruiting News

San Jose State added three new commits this week and filled a major need in the kicking game with the addition of the #1 rated Kicker in the country 4 star kicker Ray Campbell from California.

In addition, San Jose state has added the #16 Athlete in the country 4 star athlete Julius Jones from Tennessee. Jones projects at both Wideout and Cornerback and will most likely play on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary.

San Jose State has been committed to growing their recruiting presence outside of California and has now added Florida to its list with the addition of 3 start Tackle Dante McCollough from Rockledge Florida.

San Jose State 2014 Recruiting Class
4 Star K Ray Campbell (83 -5)
4 Star ATH Julius Jones (75 +1)
3 Star CB Charles Griffin (74 +7)
3 Star OLB Willie Green (69 +8)
3 Star T Dante McCullough (60 -3)

Re: Season 2 Recruiting News

San Jose State has added what they believe is going to be a great addition to their Offensive line in Tackle Dustin Montoya. The San Jose State recruiting staff really did their homework on this player and they're extremely excited about this commit.

San Jose State has added its second Athlete with the addition of Kevin Clark from Georgia. Clark played both safety and Running Back in high school and will most likely focus on carrying the rock because he's got such an amazing ability to truck and stiff arm defenders while breaking tackles and he'll come in handy for short yardage situations.

San Jose State 2014 Recruiting Class
4 Star K Ray Campbell (83 -5)
4 Star ATH Julius Jones (75 +1)
3 Star T Dustin Montoya (75 +11)
3 Star CB Charles Griffin (74 +7)
3 Star ATH Kevin Clark (72+5)
3 Star OLB Willie Green (69 +8)
3 Star T Dante McCullough (60 -3)

Western Kentucky was hit with a big disappointment this week when surprising stud ATH Josh Holley from Louisiana signed with Washington State. This guy is going to be an All-American at WR, what a beast. We would love to face the Cougars in a coming season, and give CB Maurice Minor a shot at shutting Holley down.
