2021 Week 12

is now up. We will advance again on Friday 10 pm CST or sooner if everyone is ready.

Key Games: #1 Mid Tenn vs # 19 Cal and #9 NT vs Texas. Texas may be struggling(3-6), but they get up for this game and this is a revenge game for NT for last season.

OD moved up to #2 and UTSA fell to #3.

UTSA RTA.. Our defense is really suffering the loss of last years coordinator. Hoping for one more coordinator rate bump before the season finale vs. MTSU. Congrats to ODU for taking the #2 spot. UTSA had a mediocre showing vs the winless Oregon Ducks last game and fully expected to lose their #2 ranking.

Won 30 to 3 over BYU. Was never a contest. And UTSA, don't get down on yourself yet. Still have to play Texas State in the Sun Belt title game, and that can go either way.

MTSU wins at Cal, the game was a lot closer than the score might reflect. Hoping to get a new defensive coordinator next season, my current DC is a level 0 and apparently has the xp bug as he as not gained any this season.

Looking to keep this win streak alive next week in the swamp.

Speaking of the Xp bug, I have it and my job security level is on 0. Is there a way to fix it?

Re: 2021 Week 12

North Texas avenged last year's loss to Texas with a 33-17 victory. CB Steve had his best game of his career with 3 picks. NT's kicker made 4/5 kicks, only miss of his career was a 56 yarder against a 5 mph wind. It was close, he might make that next year. Texas's qb start off red hot but cooled off in the 2nd half, while Morton went 29/35 366 1 TD 0 picks.
The offense got bogged down in fg range multiple times, settling for too many fg attempts.

Re: 2021 Week 12

Freshman HB Corey Neal had a game that he likely will never forget against the Northern Illinois Huskies. Neal rushed for a career high 201 yards with 4 touchdowns, while also adding 2 receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. Neal simply could not be stopped. He gave a lot of credit to his offensive line as well after the game, but his speed and agility were truly on display here. He quickly got to the second level on many runs, thanks in part to his blocking and his ability to effectively set up those blocks. Northern Illinois just never was able to come up with a way to stop him, and Coach Quinn let the bell cow sit in the 4th quarter with the game well in hand.

Buffalo's D was able to shut out Northern Illinois. The Bulls repeatedly shut down the Huskies on 3rd down. The only TD that Buffalo scored on the day, came late in the 2nd quarter when NIU attempted a fake punt that miserably backfired for them when CB Ryan Hale jumped a pass and returned it all the way for a touchdown. For the 1st time in 4 games, freshman Michael Armstrong didn't record an INT, although he did have 2 pass breakups. He still sits with 6 INT's on the year.
