Re: Rocket League

You can always trade for keys. Lots of people value painted wheels

Re: Rocket League

I don't know how long I have been playing, but I have never gotten a set of painted wheels or the special wheels from 6 crates so far. It's some bull, just like Overwatch.

Re: Rocket League

I haven't figured out how to trade yet, on Steam. But, if i still had a ps4 I'd still be playing this game for free...which is absolutely ridiculous.

I bought the game on Steam around the beginning of December last year, I have 820 hours in since. Not sure I've ever tracked my hours on any other game, but I'd venture to say that I've not put that many hours into any one game ever.

The keys at first perturbed me too, but in reality its all vanity stuff. You see the car, decals, accessories before the game and after when you win. But during the match you can't really notice anything, outside of the rocket trail.

Regardless, a couple bucks here and there really isn't bad for a game that cost most $10-$20, depending if you grabbed it during a sale. Can't argue with throwing the devs a bone or two for what continues to be a phenomenal game.

I'm not sure there's another competitive multiplayer game that runs as smoothly for as long as League has. There's the random hiccup, but for the most part its an incredibly stable game that works as expected every time. There's not a lot of avenue's for them to go to bring in more cash, and I really can't fault them for their direction.

Rocket League

That's just how rng is. I've got a few painted rat rods sunbursts and lowriders, but I play a lot less than my friend who just got his first painted item and it was a wizard hat.

I'm not sure why some of you are turned off by the crate and key system. There are alternatives to getting the crate goodies such as trading painted items for them. You can also even trade the crates themselves for items. They're nothing but cosmetics, nothing gives you an advantage against the competition. People are willing to spend hundreds just opening crates all day and they're supporting the rocket league scene. They also added an option to turn off crates so it'll be like nothing ever changed. You still get crates in case you do decide to turn them back on, you'll have crates in your inventory.

I think I'm going to play for 40 minutes and than - one more game, one more game, one more game...2 hours later.

I find that if I ever need a shot of energy I can always just fire this up.

Re: Rocket League

Think they'll ever changed ranked to performance based instead of win/loss based. So frustrating to put up 800-900 points in a loss and go down a tier.
