I believe in real life you get 5 to start the game, and then add 1 to whatever you have left for any remaining period, but no more than 5....so I would guess that 6 is their way of adding the 1 you...

Jinxed myself....lost my next 2 games to the worst 2 teams in the conference, and it was bad. Couldn't buy a basket for anything.....worst 2 games we've played all year
