I had an existing roster with the last shoe update prior to this one, and within that old roster i can see the new PE's that were added today.

Shoe updates are now applied to old rosters. No need to start a new roster like before.

The play call outs for freelance offenses, smart plays, selected plays etc...do not show in the upper screen even though i have the settings set to "Show All"

I've experienced this also. There is no sweat progression this year in 12min qtrs.

Also, the cpu does not utilize it's timeouts during the games i've played 12min qtrs.

I'm on xbox1 also.

I miss watching the individual highlights for each player within the box score menu.

There are a couple of post in the glitches thread in regards to the box score...

With ACE on, the default settings for 'double in the post' and 'double on the perimeter' are set to 'manual' in the defensive settings.

Does this mean I will only get double teams when I call for...

Yeah I'm noticing the same thing. Mauro's fix is the way to go IMO, even post patch 3.

I get much better double team logic in the post, by setting the CPU and my team to AUTO before games.
