How do I set the CPU lineup so I actually face that lineup in game

I go to manage cpu roster lineup and change the order for the Red Sox, then I play the game against them and their lineup reverts back to the default lineup the cpu sets, this is in season mode. TIA....

The confidence thing really annoys me, I leave my ps3 on if I have to leave for a while and I am pitching a gem. I don't want to save the game and come back and have my pitchers confidence reset.

Outfield depth for any good hitter has the fielder almost playing at the warning track no matter what inning it is.

Computers outfielders play too deep too often, rarely do I see a double over the outfielders head. In fact I have yet to see this with any of my good hitters.

fielding/throwing animations seem even slower this year, Ive had numerous times where a routine grounder to short stop would be beaten out for a single due to lack of urgency on the throw.

The problem is when your good hitters are up the computer has its outfield at the "deep" position so it's hard to hit gappers, I would suggest lowering fielder speed.

How does timing hitting work exactly? I have had numerous times with Josh Hamilton where I would check my timing via L3 button and it would say perfect but I swung and missed?
