I wonder if that has to do with the Show having to deal with over a thousand players more than Madden. And part of that problem is that extra 1000 players still is less than what there is in MLB's...

Maybe sony should ask the NFL or NBA for that permission, since MLB apparently wont give it.

just not enough of the right things in franchise mode to turn it into a cash cow like DD or RTTS.

as for what could be bought and sold in franchise mode micro-transaction style
maybe super advanced stat tracking from year to year, you could decide how many stats you want to track, box scores...

band together, each franchise lover buy 5 copies of the Show, inflate your numbers.
You can call it the $350 Club. Actions speak louder than words, i.e. money talks bs walks.

I too wish the Show was as in-depth as OOTP, but I wonder if the playstation could even handle the amount of detail OOTP can get from 1) being on a pc and 2) not being limited by a disc.
