The bottom line for franchise mode in next-gen offline:

The game is made be made to ALLOW 30 years

BUT

It gets to buggy to play after several years due to bugs and lack of proper planning...

I agree with what you are saying. Yes, EA needs to make sure Franchise Mode is fun and WORKS (bug free w/ things like contracts, salary cap, and progression/regression issues) for 30 years, OR MORE....
