yeah, you have to go to the "Stats" page for the guy on the injury screen.There you can see exactly how many weeks someone's out. I'm not happy with the interface, but the game is fun.

I've gotta delve into the practices more, but I drafted Young to Detroit and have had pretty good luck. I pound the ball with Kevin Jones, and then try and pass with Vince only when needed.
