I don't think you understand what's going on. What I'm asking is whether or not we should advance after the Super Bowl is played tonight, or after we finish the FA period on the spreadsheet. The players are gonna progress or regress the same no matter when we do it. However, if we do it tonight, we'll be able to see progression, retirement, and rookies while our FA takes place.

No I understand completely. If you advance the guys that are free agents will be in the free agent pool on the game. Free agents do not progress in the off season. More than likely they will regress.

If that's true, I think that's a decent reason not to do this. But i haven't heard that before. One thing I have heard though is that players retire younger when they aren't on a team, so there's certainly a chance that more FA's will retire. I could care less if they do, but it might lend credence to what Jooler is saying, which does matter IMO.
