Rudy and the Chiefs (12-4) lost last year in the AFC West Championship game 30-10 @ New England to end 2013.

"We look to bounce back and be a contender in the AFC. We didn't make a lot of changes...a lot of familiar faces with the same type of game play." said Rudy

Rudy has made the playoffs twice since M12 S:1 and both times reaching the AFC West Championship game.

How will Jay Cutler look under a full season with the Chiefs? Can Brandon Flowers continue to be the best corner in the league? Can they get past New England, Baltimore, and Tennessee to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl? All these questions will be answered in 2014. Stay tuned to the team page to find out.

Week 1: Chiefs start season 1-0 handing Chargers loss @ SD 36-3


Jamaal Charles started 2014 the way he started '13, HOT. Charles carried for 91 yards on 13 attempts racking up 2 Touchdowns.

Jay Cutler was effective throwing for 271 on 15-23 passing with 2 TD's.

"Our offense was comfortable early, we got in a rhythm and never looked back." said Cutler

Chiefs defense picked up right where they left off last year, forcing Rivers to throw 4 INTS.

Eric Berry - 2, Kendrick Lewis - 1, Brandon Flowers - 1.

"It's nice to see our defense hasn't changed much, since that's the strongest part of our team." said Rudy

Week 2: Chiefs win drama filled game vs Titans 26-20. (2-0)


This game was back n forth all day, and Chiefs somehow finish on top. Pause.

Tennessee and Kansas City made big play after big play, and the game went down to the final drive. With 1:00 left in the fourth, Tennessee down 26-20, had no timeouts and marched down to Kansas City's 28 yard line with 8 seconds left...on the final play of the game, Eric Berry intercepted what would have been the game winning catch.

"I think Eric was a little disappointed in the way he played last year, this season he's really taking it to another level, and it's paying off....only making our defense that much stronger." said Rudy

Although Charles was held to just 30 yards on 15 attempts, Jay Cutler came through with numerous impressive drives. Cutler finished with 366 yards on 20-32 passing with 2 TouchDowns and an INT. Baldwin was his man in the red zone, finishing with 2 touchdown catches with 76 yards.

Eric Berry added another pick, which makes three on the year. Brandon Carr also received his first INT of the season.

Chiefs (2-0) host the Redskins in week 3.

Week 3: Carr sets franchise record 4 INTs, Chiefs win 47-7


Kansas City hosted Washington in a blow out 47-7. Chiefs move to 3-0 and tied with the Oakland Raiders for the AFC West Lead.

Brandon Carr sets a franchise record with 4 interceptions in the game. Eric Berry had his 4th INT of the season, and Javon Belcher also picked one off and took it to the house. Chiefs forced Washington into 7 T.Os and took advantage.

Jamaal Charles carried for 198 yards on 12 attempts breaking off numerous tackles to reach for the endzone three times. Jay Cutler was efficient, throwing for 204 yards on 16-25 passing adding a touchdown.

Chiefs travel to Baltimore in week 4 to square off with LB and the Ravens. That match-up is (1-1).

Side Note: Baldwin out with Broken Collarbone......who knew, MADDEN sucks. Apparently breaking your collarbone happens just as much as rolling an ankle.
