Falcons Wrap Up Preseason ; Prepare to "FLY"




The preseason seemed rather longer than usual this time around, but that additional time allowed Matt Ryan to get in sync with his receiving core. "I really feel as though we've hit a stride offensively. No need for excessive languages. I can just look at Roddy or Julio and we are thinking the same things." That type of camaraderie can really help a team moving forward over a grueling 17 week regular season. But if anyone can do it, Matt believes that his team can get it done. "Mr. Blank drafted me to be the trigger man, and he's put all of this unbelievable talent around me. I'm just happy to be here, but at the same time, we strive for perfection." Knowing that this is a new year, all of last season's accomplishments are out of the proverbial window and with that being the case, ATL is looking forward to this season's crop of opponents. Roddy was quoted as saying "We open up in New Orleans, they know I can't stand them... I hope they ready."

Falcons Lose 2 Straight

Many people in Flowery Branch are starting to hit the panic button because of the Falcons losing multiple games in a row. Their is legitimate cause for concern. In a hyper competitive NFC, every victory counts and now with this loss to CAR, the Falcons are 2 games behind for the division lead with 8 games remaining. "We have got to execute better in the elements", said QB Matt Ryan. When asked if the elements were precipitation, Ryan paused and retorted "Hell No...". The receiving corp are doing what they need to do but, Steven has slowed down considerably since his red hot start to the season. Roddy White was quoted as saying "We will right the ship. We will. Even if we have to break records in the process." Atlanta has been pedestrian in the red zone lately and if Action Jackson cannot get it done, look for Ryan to turn back into the Matt Ryan of Madden 13. "It's nice to be balanced and all but right now, defensives have hell to pay.." Seattle is next, no Goldberg references...

RYAN continues aerial assault ; Averaging almost 500 YPG during 4 game stretch




Matt Ryan has seen the offensive struggles of the running game. After throwing for 400+ on the Panthers, he threw 450+ on the Legion of Boom, 500+ on the Revis-lead secondary and 450+ on the Aints. "We have got to get points, no matter how they arrive is fine with me" stated Ryan who has shredded up secondaries lately. Eventually Steven Jackson returns to form around playoff time. But, the sooner the better would definitely be nice. Roddy White has since rounded into shape after almost being phased out of the passing game, basically losing touches to Jackson, "Sometimes, your number isn't called. But when it is, you must be ready to produce and make plays." Harry has probably been the most reliable of targets, especially in crunch time.

On the other side of the football, D-Block has been doing their part lately, getting to the quarterback, hurting people, getting takeaways, you know, the usual. Defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux has anchored a steady pass rush all season but isn't worried about individual statistics. "We just want to win. One game at a time, the other things will work themselves out. " Spoon, the leader of the platoon has the gang fired up to play Ashton next week, in Canada, assuming he doesn't pull a Kusher... "We stay ready so we don't have to get ready, ya heard bout WillyMo." Atlanta at Buffalo next week, the Falcons are trying to sweep the AFC East..
