Schedule Overview
For the past few seasons, the New York Giants have been a team predicated on early season success, only to finish off the season in lackluster stretches. This year, the Giants start off with five of their first eight games on the road, including a tough matchup against the Super Bowl contending Chiefs in Week Four. However, while the schedule says the Giants first game is a contest on the road against the Dallas Cowboys, it's actually considered a home game as Eli Manning has never lost in the Cowboys' new stadium. The late schedule, at first glance doesn't pose many threats in terms of coaching, but the Giants will be hard-pressed to win games against some very talented teams.
Season Prediction: 12-4 (1st in NFC East)

Re: New York Football Giants

Meet The Giants - Offense
The Gameplan:

The New York Giants were blessed with an ELIte Quarterback (Eli Manning) and two stud receivers (Victor Cruz [pictured above] and Hakeem Nicks). The offense will either float if all three guys play up to their skill level, or drown if they don't. The pieces around "The Big Three" are integral to the team's success as well. Scat back David Wilson and power back Andre Brown will need strong rushing games to keep defenses honest. Little known Brandon Myers, coming off a near 80 catch season, will be used to move the chains and work opposing linebackers. This unit has the potential to be overwhelming for a lot of defenses.

Meet The Giants - Defense
The Gameplan:

The more Jason Pierre-Paul [pictured above] is dancing; the greater the Giants have a chance of winning. Across from Pierre-Paul is another perennial pro-bowler Justin Tuck and this duo is the key to any Giants defensive success. They must pressure opposing quarterbacks early and often to mask a relatively weak secondary. Whenever the ends are struggling, big tackles Linval Joseph and Cullen Jenkins must pick up the slack and get into the opposing backfield. After the front four, the defense gets a bit murky. The linebackers are led by journeyman Keith Rivers who will be teamed up with Jacquian Williams and Dan Connor. The Giants are hoping that Prince Amukamara can turn over a new leaf and be a dominant #2 corner across from free agent acquisition Sheldon Brown. Corey Webster will be asked to make the conversion from corner to free safety due to the season-ending injury to Stevie Brown. Veteran Antrel Rolle will be relied upon to cover the entire field at strong safety.

Meet The Giants - Special Teams
The Gameplan:

On all returns, get David Wilson the ball and block! If the Giants ever need a field goal, count on Josh Brown to make it more than not. Steve Weatherford is an accurate punter and can pin an opposing offense down inside the 20 with ease.
