      What do you suggest?

Honestly, I've been working on rosters so much that I've only played 6 full games, and the most runs I've scored in any of them is 3. I'm very impatient (LOL!)...

I also probably use the left stick (aiming) too much as well...

Do you think 90 would work?

Made one slight adjustment to my sliders in first post. Raised User Pitch Break Influence from 90 to 100 (at the suggestion of the thread of BigFnJoe's)...

          Re: mkharsh33's *******...Classic Hitting

I am going to try these tonight, I am starting to get too many hits using the Holy Grail *******. Although I am not for sure these will be any harder to hit with. I may up the cpu pitching diff to 85 or 90. I do like your pitching looks harder then his. I for onel also prefer fielding speed at 50 for both human and cpu. And cpu batting at either 50/100 or 65/85. Let me know what you think.

            I updated 2 items (1st post)...

CPU Batting power increased from 35 to 40
User Pitching Composure rating maxed out from 75 to 100

These two changes have made this more fun... The CPU gets better contact on the ball and the User pitching interface is more challenging.

Sorry... one final change (I believe)... I upped CPU contact to 45... NOW it plays much, much more fun and the pitching is more challenging in that I don't strike out as many guys.

I was the Indians vs. the Reds (CPU) last night. I lost 8-4. I had 13 hits to 12 for Cincy and I gave up 2 homers, 1 double and 1 triple. I also had 2 doubles and a homer myself. I struck out 5 batters, but used Masterson (5 k's) & Jensen Lewis, so those numbers seemed about right.

I believe this will be my FINAL set (1st post)...

                Re: mkharsh33's Sliders...Classic Hitting

I got in 2 exh. games with this slider set last night and I am impressed with them.
Game one I got hammered, I was the Padres and lost to the Rockies 9-0. I had 7 hits and the Rockies had 12 hits and 4 HRS. I really struggled to pitch in this game, Chris Young only lasted 4.1 innings.
Game 2 I was the Mariners and I beat the Rays 5-3, King Felix was awesome for me in this one. He went 7 innings and struck out 10 while allowing only 1 run and 3 hits. Again I scored 5 runs on 12 hits and 2 HRS (HRS where hit by Figgins and Jr Griffey, it was nice to be able to hit one with a non HR hitter like Figgins). The Rays did score 2 runs on a 2 run HR by Pena in the 9th.
Again I really like this set and will be using them in my Reds season, the only change I would suggest in bumping the pitcher fatigue down to 55 or so. With it at 60 the starters get tired way to quick. In my second game Felix had only pitched 50 pitches through 6 innings but was already extremely tired. I had to take him out after the 7th inning and 68 pitches because he was just gased, Felix should not be that tired after only 70 pitches.

i agree i kept the fielding speed at 50 for both and put pitcher stamina at 55
with these minor tweaks i'm getting a great game

                    MK?
Are you still playing this game at all, I just havent seen you comment on the sliders for a while.
Anywho, I think we need to up the cpu offense a bit.
I played three games last night and won by scores of 3-1, 4-0, and 3-2.
All 3 games were in my Reds season and were vs the Cardinals.
With the current settings the cpu offense is just horrible.
I am going to try cpu contact at 70 and pwr at 100 tonight, I will post results.
By the way I think you have the human offense down, we just need to figure out a way to make the cpu a threat on offense.
My team ERA for the last 10 games is 2.08.

Yeah, I'm alive! On vacation, so I have to the the "wife and kids" stuff...

I think that sliders are very subjective to how you play. It might be that you guys could use these as a base and after playing around 5 games make the changes necessary to fit your needs. Personally, these play great for me. I get the occasional low scoring game and then the other extreme. I think that there is a HUGE disparity in how lower rated pitchers are in this game as opposed to the name guys.

I guess we just have to remember it's a video game and that no matter how much we tweak, we'll never totally get what we want...

But I'm going to give a look at something: raising CPU hitting contact to 50 and their power to 100... And lowering my user contact to 30 and power to 90.

                        Re: mkharsh33's Sliders...Classic Hitting

After playing 3 games I've decided on the following batting sliders (updated in 1st post):

                        - CPU contact: 55 ... CPU power: 100

                        - User contact: 35 ... User power: 90

I was able to still hit a couple homeruns with user power at 90. A couple warning track shots, but it felt much better. At 95 I was hitting too many out of the park.

User contact at 30 and I was whiffing on almost everything. Struck out 18 times and that just shouldn't have happened against the pitcher I was against.

CPU power at 100 makes you re-think how you'll pitch to a top power guy, and rightfully so. CPU contact at 55 makes pitching more challenging, but the hit totals still played out very realistic. I'm a bit fearful to raise this to 60 but I'll test it some more.

Played 5 more games tonight. Updated first post...

Decided to go with the following, and no more changes:

                          - CPU Power 100 / CPU Contact: 50 (55 was just way too hard - never gave up fewer than 15 hits in any game and struck out 2 batters in 5 games)

                          - USER Power: 90 / USER Contact: 30 (You will have to be patient and work the count.)

Yeah I had to lower the CPU Contact, I played one game, and it was an utter hitfest, the CPU was hitting pitches 2 inches off the ground, and half a foot out of the strike zone with consistent success.

Really liking he update, I played 3 games with them last night.
I was really skeptical about raising the cpu hitting to 50/100 after the first game.
I was the Reds v Cards and I lost 13-7, the Cards had 24 hits! It was actually nice to give up runs but 24 hits is crazy. I decided to give the 50/100 a couple more games. Game 2 I was the Reds vs Brewers and I won 3-1. Threw a 5 hit complete game with Cueto, really fun game too. Game 3 I again played the Brewers and lost 5-0, I could not hit Dave Bush at all. I only had 4 hits and k'd 12 times, he throws really slow and my timing was off all game. The Crew scored 5 runs on 2 hrs and 10 hits.

I am really, really pleased with the hum and cpu hitting updates! Great work my friend!
My team ERA was 3.12 through 35 games before these updates. My team ERA for these 3 games was 6.33, the cpu can now score. In the game I allowed 13 runs I could have held them to less but I didnt want to kill my pen in a blowout so Owings was forced to take one for the team. He pitched the last 5 innings and allowed 6 runs. Like I said I could have used my better bullpen guys and not allowed as many runs.
