Has the demo changed your mind about buying Madden 13?

Not looking for impressions, there's a huge thread for that already.

Just looking to see how many people who weren't going to buy the game, are going to now because they enjoyed the demo. Also vice versa, anyone who was going to that isn't now?

Yes. I was going to buy the game as soon as I got up 2 college, but now that I saw how little the Infinity Engine actually matters, I have since changed my mind.

I think the Infinity Engine makes a big difference. Guys are running into each other, the tackles look great. They still need to do some work on it, but it is a nice step in the right direction.

As far as buying the game.....I think I am still on the fence. I like what I am seeing, but I still need to know a little more before making a decision. I'll wait and see what people are saying after it comes out.

Yes it has. I won't state what direction. I will let the EA pass version be more of a impression for me.

I was buying it regardless, but I'm disappointed. Hopefully the online franchise improvements make me happy.

I think they've made enough changes to show that they are atleast trying to push the game forward. I was trying to get by with playing a friends copy of Madden on Madden day but the demo made it so I need to buy it day 1.

You should have made this a poll.

The Infinity Engine makes Madden look like I've wanted it to look since 06. The gameplay is solid aside from zone defenders not properly passing off receivers and watching receivers sit in zones, but it's not enough for me to change my mind. The game still feels incomplete. Aside from the missing features, I was still considering buying the game, but after playing the demo, I wasn't wowed enough to change my mind. I'm still on the fence and will need some excellent in depth un biased reviews regarding CC to change my mind.

I went from "no" to "heck no". I'm not going to tolerate cb's not lining up correctly after they made a big deal that this was fixed. Everything looked fine in that dept until the AI went into hurry up; my defenders couldn't cope with that change. I suppose I could have called a timeout but I don't think I should have to.

Re: Has the demo changed your mind about buying Madden 13?

Short answer... yes I'm thinking about NOT buying it. Long answer... I'll just post what I put in the demo discussion:

I played the demo last night and overall I will just say that it's okay. I like the new passing system and the hits feel different. Also, I seem to have more time to pass now. The crowd noise is also really good. I do have some concerns though. The cpu was way too easy to beat. I played on All Pro with the 49ers and beat NYG 27-0. Eli Manning had 0... that's right 0 yards passing until the 4th quarter and I was able to sack him at will. I didn't touch the sliders or anything. I know some of you will say that I should be playing on All Madden, but I haven't played a Madden game since Madden 10, so it's been a few years since I even touched Madden and I havent played NCAA since NCAA 11. Also, the physics does some crazy stuff during tackles and especially after a play. I had a Ray McDonald pull a full fledged Exorcist head turn while making a tackle. And after the play it just looks like a train wreck. Also, the lighting is horrible in the Redskins - Seahawks game. The teams look waaaay too dark in the bright sun. With all of that said, I can live with those issues. The main issue for me that has me rethinking buying this game is that I was just plain BORED with it after a few games. Nothing about it made me want to be like, "I've got to have this game". The presentation is okay, but I found myself skipping over most of it and I'm a huge presentation guy. In other games I sit through all of the presentation elements before I play a game, but I just kept trying to skip through Maddens. The only way I'll buy Madden is if I really want to play with the 49ers. Other than that, I may skip this year like I did the last few. I'm not saying the game is terrible, but I just don't think it's worth my $59.99.

I was almost an instant no when I saw guys quivering and flopping like Cristiano Ronaldo after plays. But after a few games, the intracacies really stand out. FINALLY an improved (not perfect) pass rush. It matters when and where he ball is thrown. And the physics do really make it feel like a new game. I'm in, see you all in two weeks.

This is why I have the season pass. I'll make my judgement after I play it on the 24th. If they fix the random flopping animations I'll prob buy. Right now they collide and flop ike weight and momentum do not exist.

For those who haven't tried it, the game plays much smoother on "slow". I saw a lot less flopping and weird things happening on slow.

I was going to buy it regardless as well. Presentation is a huge thing for me and having the upgraded commentary is amazing. I think its the best commentary we have had on this gen. Now I feel I will be able to have it on the whole game than turn it off after the 1st quarter.
