I can say with the utmost confidence that there is a 0% chance EA will ever do this. It would take a complete teardown and rebuild of franchise mode, and they've shown over the past however many years, they're not willing to tear it down and start over.

This will never happen. As cool as it would be, EA is too far behind the 8 ball when it comes to franchise mode.

They can’t even make a stable franchise mode..

The Peyton Manning colts would draft a first round qb 5 years in a row if ea tried this.

No, they can’t even update the live starting point updates. (Honestly don’t think we need those for every week). However, in the PS2 days you could unlock legend players and add them to franchise.

Madden has rights to legend players. They are missing an opportunity to monetize those right for use in franchise mode.

However, EA would need the rights for too many players to make era possible.

They may only if they can find a way to tie their little fake card packs to it. The sooner people cope with knowing that’s all these games care about now, the sooner they can stop being disappointed.
