Speaking of animations - anyone think the awkward running styles will ever get tuned/reworked this gen? Or is that, like many things, reliant on a whole engine rebuild which they seem extremely resistant to doing.

Cool vid. Just seeing the intro, even though it's prob 23, makes me sick. Hopefully they wow with something solid. Iirc the running game was a bit better in 23 besides running animations.

Wish they would just throw the motion-cap equipment into a real game one time to get more accurate animations than actors "jumping backwards" before being hit. Or purposely "ducking" below a hurdle.

Madden has been doing that since forever. That's the best they will do imo. Makes zero sense when compared to real football but its a good Tax write off to say they paid for xyz to improve the game.

I imagine that equipment is pretty expensive. To have it get banged up during a game is too much for a small developer like EA.

From what I’m observing, maybe they are being directed this way… but the actors are resembling more of an nfl blitz display with hits. Big hits are thumps that result in 2 ways. A ball carrier is in a off balance position or it ends up being like 2 rams battering. Both players look to deliver a blow but one person prevails. Guys don’t voluntarily start/ slide into limp positions.

This plays a part in perception of the AI. They need to add scenarios or reiterate game movement. Struggling to articulate what I really mean here

Let’s hope to see improvements across the board
