3 NON GAMEPLAY specific FIXES that will Improve Madden Gameplay Experience
So I am writing this in the hopes that we can constructively call out some improvements that EA may recognize, take note of, and hopefully make adjustments as these 3 things all indirectly impact the user gameplay immersion and experience on the field in different ways....yet I dont actually think they are actually "gameplay tweaks"
1- USER CUSTOMIZABLE CAMS
Why do we need them?
Over the last several versions of Madden, being limited to the same set of predefined CAMS has made each Madden feel far to similar. Every modern day sports game I can think of today offers multiple preset CAMs to select and many slider realated adjustments to also customize your own. Maddens own replays can be adjusted to infinite CAMS and seem to replay fine with no lag or CPU limitations....so the tech is there and it can be done!
What benefit will it provide?
It gives the users customization options to make the game feel fresh and new and also allow more choice which is always a great thing! I would personaly set a CAM to a more FIFA/Tecm Bowl like Zoomed out view to capture more of the downdfield action
2- GAME SPEED SLIDER
Why do we need them?
Not everyone wants to play the game at a NFL simulated speed, nor can some people keep up with that arcade-like reaction reflex requirement. Some people prefer a more strategic approach in which they feel like they have more time to make adjustments that will make an impact in the game....especially in single player matches
What benefit will it provide?
Again it just gives the users more choices and customization on how they prefer to play the game. Also on slower speeds, many of the jerky and inconsistent player movements and transistions seem to feel more smoothed out and natural (at least this is my experience from older versions)
3-SILENT/MISSING ON FIELD SOUND FX
Why do we need them?
For some reason since EA went to this 3D immersive sound technology over the last several Maddens, the on field sounds from zoomed in CAM seem to gradually disappear the further CAM back you select. This year it seems worse then ever. In theory this makes sense as the tech is working to capture the sounds closer to the CAM but that doesnt mean its a better experience! Who wants to be playing in broadcast CAM and not hear the whiz of an Aaron Rodgers rope, or a soft slap of a hands on ball reception, the grunts and groans in the trenches, the stinging crack of a helmet to helmet hit, or pads on pads stick!.....These are all the wonderful sounds of football and they are so perfectly captured in PRACTICE MODE! They should be user adjustable to give you that same immersive feeling
What benefit will it provide?
For all the obvious reasons I pointed out above
Since I am so grumpy today with this wonderful game, I will add a bonus feature that I have also asked for many times.
GLOBAL RATING SLIDER ADJUSTER
For those of us that like to further tailor gameplay to our own liking, a Global RATINGS Slider for each the players ratings should be added so we can easily go into a roster and make sweeping changes as we see fit. Not happy with how every Safety closes down on a reciever....no problem. Go into a Global Slider adjustment page, Filter by all safeties and adjust their PLAY RECOGNITION...or whatever slider would fix that. You get the point
Not happy with all QBs Medium Throw Accuracy?.....go into the global slider and slide the Medium Throw Accuracy!
Why not add this?.....Please folks, let me know your thoughts. Im trying to make a game that has started to feel SAME OLD SAME OLD over the years a little fresher experience....and non of these tweaks/features I feel would completely require any major overhauls
