Road to the CFP too short

For it being the only 'ranked' mode in the game three minutes quarters is ridiculously short. Should be 5-6 minutes at minimum.

Really makes me just want to play friends for an actual game of 6 min quarters.

Also you can just pick tier 1 teams and only search tier 3 opponents which is absurd.

Re: Road to the CFP too short

I tend to disagree here, I'm finding 3-minute games still last quite a bit of time since usually peeps still pass a lot. Like I still have games that have been 35-28 etc. You have time stoppages on first downs and two-minute warning etc.

If you're dragging things out, then yeah, you can milk clock, but 5-mins honestly ends up taking like 45 mins a lot of the time in Madden, and I dunno if I really want that for a basic ranked mode.

Now, if they wanted to have two different time lengths then that'd be fine, or split it into a "sim" and "quick" mode or whatever I'd be fine with that.

I second this. The games feel long enough to the point where I’ve had some good fights for the win.

I think 4 minutes would be the sweet spot for this mode. Going into the 4th quarter with only 1 minute until the 2 minute warning is a little absurd IMO.

Also, I can deal with not being able to change your playbook, but at least give us the option to change uniforms or game times to keep it fresh.

Haven’t played this mode, but as a run first (and always if possible) guy, it sounds short. I’d bet I could easily have the ball for an entire half and never let my opponent get it (especially if I wanted to be a douche and chew the clock).

Came here to agree. 4 would be the sweet spot. I don't mind 3. It kinda gets things going and makes it feel fun and tense. But ya, 4 minutes would be perfect.

You literally can do this with ease.

Re: Road to the CFP too short

H2H defense is murderously hard this year, even 4 minutes of clock would add like 21 extra points to each game.
