Occam's NHL 24 and NHL 25 Sliders

Occam's NHL 24 and NHL 25 Sliders

Hey everyone,

After some time away from sliders due to personal tragedies in my extended family, I’m back to share a set I’ve been working on. These sliders are built to make NHL 24 and NHL 25 feel as close to real hockey as possible, specifically for **6-minute periods on All-Star difficulty**.

I’ve focused on creating a realistic flow, where skating, passing, puck battles, and goaltending behave like they do in the NHL. These settings aren’t designed to make things easier or harder—they’re meant to reflect what happens on the ice.

I’ve spent a lot of time fine-tuning details like puck control, skating agility, and AI reactions. These sliders work best for players who want the game to feel authentic and simulation-like without unnecessary flair or gimmicks.

Below are the full settings. Feel free to share your thoughts or adjustments—your feedback is always welcome.

I have to be honest—I primarily play CPU vs. CPU. For that, I use True Broadcast with the authentic puck size and all meters and bars turned off, except for player names.

For user vs. CPU gameplay, the most realistic camera is generally Dynamic Medium. It provides a good balance between visibility and an authentic on-ice perspective, allowing you to see the action while staying immersed in the gameplay. If you’re looking for a more TV-style presentation, True Broadcast works well, but it can take some getting used to for manual control.

Puck Speed Reception Effect: 50
Pickup Type Effect: 50
Bouncing Puck Receptions: 50
