NO ONE should be a 99. I agree with the ratings from the OP overall. Dwight should probably be tied with Wade (95). Garnett and Duncan should probably be a 91. 90 for Nowitzki is probably a bit high, maybe 88.

6) Paul 88- great passer, terrific penetrator, mediocre shooter and defender
7) Ming 87- feathery touch, average post defender, sets great screens
8) Howard 86- best rebounder in league, good shot blocker, no offensive game and he is a mediocre man defender

10) Garnett 85- choke filled, rangy and long defender, swallows up screens, good jumpshot, nice passer
11) Roy 84- tricky driver and passer, mature, good mid range game, not very explosive
12) Anthony 83- creative scorer, good post player, explosive, immature and anaverage (but improving defender)
13) R. Allen 83- clutch shooter, one of the smartest players in league, defense comes and goes, a bit streaky, rebounds well

18) Nowitzki 80- choke filled and a mediocre defender, okay rebounder, good set shooter and decent driver
19) Billups 80- good shooter and passer, too passive at times, good defender, clutch, settles for either passing or scoring too much

There needs to be some sort of baseline for the players' abilities and ratings.

Either way, I never liked these ratings based on 100 scale because it seems they get over inflated ratings. People tend to think that a superstar should be near 100, which sounds right in theory, but it doesn't make that much sense in all cases.

I just hope the DNA is implemented slightly better this year. For example, a Lebron is a superstar and has an overall rating of 97 or so. He fills up the stat sheet and has a FG% close to 50% which is really great, but most of that is from dunks and layups. In video games, because of this usually, he shoots at a high percentage everywhere on the court. But in real life, he's barely over 30% from 3-point and his midrange game is very average at best.

I just hope that the ratings translate better to what type of game the player plays.
