The Amazing Spider-Man (2012 film)

Don't know if this is a good thing or not. It doesn't seem like any of the previous cast are returning and I don't like when shows/movies replace people with other actors.

Guess we'll have to wait and see how this turns out.

Re: Spider-Man reboot in 2012

I'm just glad there's no Sam Raimi involved this time around. His directing grew tired.

Christopher Nolan should jump on board as director.

Well Spiderman 3 was a joke and Tobey McGwire always seemed not good enough to me, to play Peter Parker. IMO it might not be so bad.

Why do a reboot/origin again? Everyone knows who the hell spiderman is. Just make another solid movie with the character.

Saying Spider-man 3 was a joke is putting it too lightly I think. It was a disgrace and utter mess.

As far as Tobey, he's garbage. Him and his damn ego off where each Spider-man movie needs so many minutes of him running around New York with his mask off. You don't see that in Batman or anywhere else... Spider-man takes his identity very seriously and in all the movies he doesn't. Especially the last where he is talking to the freaking Sandman without his mask off. If this really was the Marvel Universe and this happened, Sandman would run to Kingpin to sell Spider-man's identity in a heart beat after that "touching" scene...

I could go on forever about this series and especially the third movie but rant over... lol

Origin is not necessary... they just need a restart and start off kind of where the 90s cartoon started off. Also focus the entire movie series on the Kingpin with Osborn.

Sure it blew ***, but how much of that had to do with Sony's meddling though? Drag Me To Hell was a decent enough movie that showed Raimi could still do things outside of Spiderman. He didn't want to do the script Sony wanted for the 4th movie, and now they are gonna take it back to the high school years.
