My initial thought... they are going to make a lot of money from this.

Wow, people are just dying to throw their money away aren't they.

Are people really so desperate to get the game 3 days early that they are willing to spend $85 for that game? Really?
Anyone who pays for this is essentially paying $25 for a 3-day rental of a game.

I guess it's true what they say about a fool and his money...

Its technically like a $5 dollar rental, because you get to rent 5 games for 3 days (pretty standard cost to rent a video game from a store these days)

Only 3 days before?

The people who get it early usually have it at least 3 days before... I'll take my chances with the Mom & Pops..

Re: EA Sports Unveils 'Season Ticket' for Five Games

I can imagine somebody getting excited because they can download their game 3 days before release, only to find their local Gamestop is already selling it and a ton of other people are already playing it anyway.

IMO, this is a crazy idea. I'd pay 25 bucks a year for a spectator mode. I'd pay 25 bucks a year for some real, tangible features in the game, for something new and revolutionary. This just seems like a cash grab from what I can see.
