Bears fan gets throat slashed in Jacksonville bar

Wow, I don't have the words, but this is just horrible...I hope this POS gets the death penalty...that is if Fla has the death penalty.

Re: Bears fan gets throat slashed in Jacksonville bar

There was rumblings about this on Twitter Sunday morning. Senseless, but I wonder what could have led to this happening.

According to the Chicago Tribune the victim was talking to the guy's wife.

I'm curious to the relevance of his team affiliation. I doubt somebody could go postal over a football game.

Figured it didn't have anything to do with football.

This particular situation might not be sports related, but stuff like this does happen over sports. Remember last year the Giants' fan was beaten at a Dodgers game. There was also a story a few years back about a Yankee fan running over and killing a Red Sox fan. Those are the first two that come to mind, but I'm sure there are a lot more stories like these.

It's absolutely ridiculous that some people take these games so seriously that they get to the point of physically attacking someone who roots for another team.
