Re: MLB 14 ratings scale?
This is like asking Colonel Sanders if you can take a peak at his fried chicken recipe, or what 23 flavors are in Dr. Pepper. When I'm recreating an old player I start by making a scale of whatever the average stat is at whatever particular attribute I'm doing. For example if I were to recreate Carl Yastrzemski's 1967 Triple Crown season, I'd make something along these lines:
This one would be for Contact.
99 .357 (overall MLB batting average leader Roberto Clemente, Pirates N.L.)
98 354
97 351
96 349
95 346
94 343
93 341
92 338 (Yaz would fall here for vs. lefties he hit .338)
91 336
90 333
89 330
88 328
87 325
86 323 (Yaz would fall here for vs. right handers he hit .323)
85 320
84 317
83 315
82 312
81 309

30 .200 (Zoilo Versalles had the lowest average for anyone with enough AB's to qualify for the batting title.
Again, I doubt you can get a look at the Official Scale. That would be nice if we could though.
