So what's the consensus - IS Madden 15 improved?

So, having played Madden 15 a while now, I'm pretty danged impressed. Still not enough penalty variety, and a few other niggling things, but overall I think it's a huge improvement, and the best Madden ever.

What are you opinions?

I think it is. I thought going into this gen that Madden 16 would be the biggest leap and I'm sticking with that. This version of Madden is obviously the best looking visually, but needs quite a bit of work on animations. I'm not expecting much (if any) of a graphical leap next year, but I do think they will spend their time smoothing out the animations. I also think we will see a jump in A.I. that will make the games more of a chess match.

My biggest gripe with this game is the camera angles. I like the zoom cam but there's something about the way the camera tilts that's makes it hard to see. I think they could refine it where you still get close but adjust it subtly immediately after the snap to make it easier to see. I absolutely hate the camera after the zoom cam. It's too high and feels like it's looking top down. I think with some dedication, the team could really improve the camera angles.

Yeah it looks pretty, but it is still a shell of what it could be. I just feel that besides the appearance, they have removed more features than they have added in the last few years.

Its solid. Still room for improvement, but its the first time ive enjoyed playing madden since the last ps2/xbox only years

Madden itself has not really improved since 2005 except that the coaches no longer look like burn victims. I can't say gameplay is any better. Still have Robo QB who really does not understand down and distance, penalties are all frogged up, and there are franchiose issues which are pretty much game breaking.

Madden 2005 was one of the best in the series history. No question. But Madden 15 as far as on the field wipes it out.

Pass trajectories, catch animations, the running game, tackling, OL/DL interaction the list can go on and on. I am a pioneer Madden player much like a lot of long time members of OS and I am hard pressed to agree with the thought process that on the field any Madden from two gens ago is better.

It still has room for a lot of improvement.

1. Penalties
2. CPU QB AI
3. WR/DB Interaction
4. Legit and fully functional replay system
5. Even more off the field enhancments inside of Connected Franchise
6. Even furhter evolvment of the braodcast presentation which took a major leap on Madden 15....major.


But despite all the room for improvement we all want, it still in my mind is the best playing and most fun I have ever had with Madden football in quite some time. Actually I did really enjoy M25 on the PS3 but before that and M15...it had been a decade since I got deep into multiple seasons and had this much fun. I see myself playing M15 till M16 at a minimum. It's that good IMO.

Is it The Show and NBA 2K15? hell no. But it is a solid sports game in my book.
