The best baseball game with the best pbp announcer?

As the visually impaired gamer on here, I'm a huge sound guy. So it got me thinking, throughout the years, which gme do you all think had the best pbp guy? It could be voice, excitement level, or just your favorite, because he was your teams announcer. For me, Jon Miller was the best!

I liked Old Time Baseball because you could pick between Mel Allen and Curt Gowdy.

My pick would be 2k baseball with Gary Thorne, he always gets me up out of my seat when he gets going. 2K did a lot of things wrong but this wasn't one of them.

Gets my vote too. Pretty good 3 man booth. I checked out Old Time Baseball on youtube and the game looks nearly unplayable. Mel Allen sounded pretty good but 2k while some hate it ain't bad.

Haha, what do you expect - it came out 20 years ago! It was essentially Tony Larussa Baseball, which was a pretty darn good game at the time.

It was an amazing game for its time. Checking out some gameplay of it now, I must say that the pitcher / batter interface was very good. The problem was the fielding, like how quick a play ended, and players just disappeared and stuff. Like on a ground-out, you didn't get to see the batter running all the way through first base, instead it quickly flashed to the next batter.

I wish they put out an updated version with better fielding. I think a "Old Times" baseball game could do very well this day and age. Who wouldn't wanna play a game at the Old Baseball Stadiums, like Ebbets Field or the Original Yankee Stadium?

I think a new company would do well with making an Old Time baseball game. I think the best company for this would be Konami. Imagine an Old Time baseball game with Mel Allen, history stadiums and teams, and Pro Yakyuu Spirits gameplay? That'd be !!

Jon Miller or Gary Thorne from 2K, easily.

In terms of hilarity, Jim Hughson from the Triple Play games and Tim Kitzrow from SlugFest.
