FIXED NBA 2k17 Defense, SIM Basketball is back!!!

So after tireless testing of trying to get sim gameplay out of NBA 2k17, I have finally figured it out!

It's the player badges!

I have removed player badges for both myself and the cpu team and I'm getting organic gameplay!

I left all defensive settings on auto and I'm seeing my players soft hedge Kyrie Irving automatically, Carmelo is shifting to cut Tristan Thompsons cut to the basket!

I'm convinced that badges are only meant for MYPlayer only!

Please try this out!

Back to playing sim basketball!!!

You might just be on to something here. Ive always had a sneaking suspicion about badges being a sim detriment

immersion breaker to realize animations are locked behind badges.

Curry can't shoot limitless anymore.

Lebron can't chase-down anymore.

outlet passes are gone.

floor general/defensive anchor are gone to help mimic what great players do for their teammates on the floor.

I say give badges to those who are 90 ovr are above. I want as many degrees of seperation as possible between scrubs and superstars.

Players still play like themselves, Badges created over exaggeration with what they affected. Kyrie dropped 34 on me still without jacking up 20 3 pointers.

Interesting, is that stone wall defense still present or do the defenders ride the dribbler now?

They do ride the dribbler, I'm getting defense players actually getting into position to cut off my path instead of the stonewall degense!

On Ball defense is also improved for you as the player, no more unexplained shifting!
