Biggest Regrets/Mistakes In Your Gaming History

If you've been gaming for decades, or any amount of time really, I'm sure there's some decisions you've made that looking back maybe weren't a great idea. I thought it'd be fun to share those stories.

Here's some of mine.

-Trading in an Xbox One S … only to turn around 6 months later and buy it again.
I wasn't really using the One S much, so thought I'd capitalize on the good trade-in value, which did net me a collector's edition New 2DS XL (Zelda), but then as I started to pay more attention to Game Pass, EA Access and the like, realized that you know, there was still room in my gaming library for the One S. Thankfully there were great deals during this Black Friday/Cyber Monday, so in essence I wound up paying for that 2DS XL through the re-purchase of the One S. So, looking back, should've just held onto the original One S and spent the money up front on the 2DS XL.

-Trading in my GBA SP (101 version) towards a DS Lite.
If only I'd have known how valuable those 101-version SP's were going to be. But, it was easy to get swept up in DS fever back in 2005-06 and with the Lite playing GBA games, it made sense at the time. I didn't foresee getting into system/game collecting at all at the time, but now that I do dabble in that, man what this a bad decision. I was able to find a well-kept SP 101 years later, but definitely paid a pretty penny for it.

So far, the moral of the story is to hold onto your game systems!

These would fall more into the regret category:

-Not owning an:
Original Xbox
GameCube
Super Nintendo (played it a ton, but never had it at my house)

-Not holding onto the boxes all of my NES and GBA games came in.

Buying Red Dead Redemption 2 and Vampyr.

Losing a Nintendo 64 with the booster pack, Ocarina of Time, Pilot Wings 64, Wave Race and Mario 64.

Purchasing movie from Playstation store. (Surround Sound doesn't work for some reason)

Trading in all the old gen systems and games I owned during my childhood/teenage years to get the newest stuff. Lesson learned, I trade nothing in nowadays.

Not at all. I've purchased quite a few games I haven't cared for, but both those are probably worst games I've purchased. (For different reasons)

I think I'm only person on planet than doesn't like RDR2.

I enjoyed that game, but my old roommate bought it, not me.
