Upcoming Games

There's an Upcoming Movies thread, so here's a game thread.

An Ubisoft exec accidentally leaked they're making a new Splinter Cell game, which could be shown at E3.

Re: Upcoming Games

While I would still play it, im hoping that it's NOT open world. At most, wide-linear like God of War or Rise/Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

I want something from the Chaos Theory era (I think that was the sequel, or one of them)...It had fun multiplayer, and the story was good but not just linear or too brutal or whatever. They need to go back to the roots a bit.

Re: Upcoming Games

Yeah, if it was similar to the old ones gameplay wise, that would be just fine by me.

Re: Upcoming Games

Unless something big is announced during E3 in regards to Sony's AAA biggies or CD Projekt's next open world, no other game is more anticipated for me than No Man's Sky's VR update. This summer will be an adventure in gaming experience that has me ready to return to its universe and I can't wait!

Re: Upcoming Games

With more than a 500 million dollar Budget, I'm really looking forward too seeing Halo Infinite at E3.

Behind that, I'm hoping too not be disappointed by Final Fantasy 7 Remake info.

Re: Upcoming Games

I know I'd still play it if they did, but they really don't need to change the Splinter Cell formula. Just give us a linear, mission-based game with a bunch of different locations. That's all that I want, we have more than enough open world games. Going open world worked well and made sense for Ghost Recon, but I don't see the point in doing that with Splinter Cell.

I'm very excited to hear the rumors of it returning, though. Splinter Cell is one of my favorite series of all time, and it's long overdue that we get another one.

I'll play it either way, but all the stuff when he went rogue on Conviction and all that wasn't my favorite. Just hope they can dial things into a cool game. I don't think open world would be great either, just also think the current direction wasn't the best as well.
