Does anyone have any legitimate tips for getting a good face scan?

My dude looks NOTHING like me lol. This was a problem last year.

My place has great lighting and the NBA Live Companion App scan looked identical to me.

Any tips for scanning we should be aware of?

The 2k face scanning app is trash. Has never worked for me, I don’t even bother anymore

I've got a Pixel 3, I'd say it's the best camera on the market, arguably... And in perfect lighting I can't get a scan to even load.

On top of that, 90% of the time it loads the camera in landscape mode, essentially, face looks normal in landscape mode, looks like a cone head in portrait, which it gets the photos from portrait. On rare occasion I get it to work right but then when it asks for a second scan it goes back to cone head mode.

I don't even know what to do, this has happened in previous 2k apps, it's so frustrating

Yea, I'm not even getting the scan to finish in the app. Last year i was able to get a decent one on my iPhone 8plus. It seems like the face scan gets worse every year...

I get it to work just fine in the app but then it doesn't upload in the demo. It worked fine last year. Oh well, probably won't use it
