So I'm in BAP, my guy's in LA (of course), and Toronto is in town. We get a couple of quick goals, none involving my guy, and it's 2-0 at 2:57 in the first.

Off the ensuing faceoff, Jonathan Quick immediately skates to the bench. I get sent on as the extra attacker, just as Eric Staal pots an empty netter. My guy gets a -1 on the play. The entire sequence, puck drop to lamp, took exactly four seconds.

Uhhh...what.

There is NO. WAY. ON GOD'S. GREEN. EARTH. that play would ever happen in real life. We weren't trailing by 2, with three minutes remaining in the third; we were LEADING by two, with three minutes ELAPSED in the FIRST.

No penalty was being assessed, either: I checked the replay, neither referee had his arm up. It was just, puck drops, Quick heads straight to the bench, and I step on with the puck halfway to the net.

What the flying February was THAT about?!
