The concussion story at least explains why he seemed so much worse last night. I know he's been getting a little worse each year, but that was almost shocking how far he seemed to have declined since last year's match with Punk. That would even explain the stretch where he didn't even stand up for several minutes. Having had 3 concussions myself, I give him a lot of credit for even being able to finish the rest of the match and being able to take another F-5 or 2 or 3, depending on when it actually happened, after that.

Brock played his part the best he could, and apart from Goldberg I haven't seen many terrible Lesnar matches, he's a good worker.

Taker was well off his game last night, I do think that him having so few matches has contributed to his decline. Kane is only a couple of years younger and wrestles all the time, and can still put on good matches.

I hope he isn't done, but if he is then I'll always remember the good things, not his performance in New Orleans.

Blaming WWE is even unfair because I bet Taker wanted to at least put someone over with the streak, and everyone is losing sight of one thing:

Losing to Lesnar is believable.

In fact it's the most believable thing that happened last night. Brock is nearly 15 years younger than Taker and just a few years ago was the UFC champion.

If Lesnar didn't do it it would have been an unrealistic outcome. Arguably HHH and Shawn were 'old guys' too and they didn't win, and arguably Punk (storyline-wise at least) wasn't strong enough or physically intimidating enough to do it.

Yeah, people might not like it but it makes sense in many ways. And I'm not saying I'm 100% ok with it but I'd rather it be Brock than Cena, HHH or Sting, and I like all those guys.

Another thought, what if Taker had such a bad concussion that he kicked out way too late?

Being a big Taker fan since the 90's, I have no issues with him losing. This streak can only go so far and it was starting to really not feel as believable anymore. I think Punk should of ended it last year and it probably would of helped with him not leaving this year. Who even knows at this point.

For me, the women's match was the worst of the night even surpassing this match in terms of bad quality. That thing was a cluster and worse was that AJ had Naomi in a submission that whole time with not a single person breaking it up. I would have preferred a 6 pack challenge if they really needed to have multiple divas in there.

This is such an interesting time. I mean first off, in this day and age of spoiled returns, rampant rumors and all, kudos to the WWE for being able to pull off a legitimate shocker last night. The crowd's reaction of dead silence followed up by all of the "meme faces" said it all. I have a hard time believing anyone who says they saw this coming. My first reaction was that I was mad that they had Lesnar break the streak. "Why not use that for an up and comer, someone right on the cusp of being a main eventer?" To find out through reports today that it was apparently Taker himself that wanted Brock to be the one to end it, it completely changes the perspective for me.

If there is anyone in this business that deserves to go out on his terms, it is the Undertaker. All you ever hear from fellow wrestlers is how respected he is, how he's the glue backstage and how he keeps the peace so often. I know I'm biased, because Taker is far and away my favorite wrestler of all time, and nobody else comes close. I'm glad that I took the chance that he would be at Raw in Indianapolis last year. It was the night that they had the Paul Bearer tribute, and the show started off with him coming out, and eventually CM Punk interrupting it. I had never seen Taker's entrance live before, despite numerous live events. So glad I got to experience it once before he was done. (And who's to say he's done for sure...but as big a fan as I am, he really should be.)

Anyway - I'm sad to see it end, I really was kind of hoping deep down that one day he would retire with the streak in tact. But if this is how he wanted it to end, I'm glad it did. There will never be anything quite the same as hearing that bell toll twice, followed by the third bell / beginning of the theme. I'm sure in the next week or two I'll be going back on the Network and watching some of the classic Taker matches.

The Divas match, for what I remembered outside the shock of the previous match seemed pretty good considering just how many women were in there.

The tap should have come quicker given the situation, and if they didn't want Naomi to look weak they could have had AJ beat Rosa Mendes, which actually could have set up a good story of AJ 'stealing' the win by pinning the weakest Diva.

I still hate how anyone not on Total Divas is superfluous though.

Where's Paige? Tonight maybe. Hopefully.

I thought the women's match was okay once the focus was on the Bellas, AJ, Tamina, Natalya, and the good Funkadactyl. I was entertained.

I agree that the women's match was pretty good once they got all the worthless ones out of the ring. I'm also glad that AJ retained. If they ever want that belt to mean anything, they can't let their longest reign ever(or not, if you count the women's title, but whatever) end in a cluster match like that.
