THANKS for this! Looking forward to your review, man. We were playing it at the office the other day -- good to see another game in the genre. Playing with the spanish commentary on is dope!

Yeah, the Spanish is definitely better. My review should be up tomorrow, as it's ready to go from Chase. Hopefully you guys like it.

Here's Joystiq's review: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/10/18/lu...l-ring-review/

My review is posted on the front page. Looks like I enjoyed the story mode more than the reviewer at Joystiq.

It's not perfect, but it's a cool lil game. I fully expected it to play faster though, that's the one thing I don't like.

Re: Lucha Libre AAA Wrestling

I finally got a chance to play this today and it's not a bad little game. Graphically, I think the game looks good and in some ways a little better than SDvR series since there are no jaggies at all on the PS3. It drives me nuts how SDvR still has jaggies to this day. There is some decent mechanics here and if they can refine the controls and some of the stupid 1 vs. 3 and 1 vs. 2 matches, they could have some alright as an alternative.

I was left a little disappointed that this is very close to TNA Impact with how they handled it. There aren't enough movesets which is surprising that they did not add to this since Impact was already lacking. I know its 2 different developers, but they are using the same engine.

I'll keep messing with this over the next week and see how things go. It's not a keeper by any means as I hate the controls since their not as responsive, but I do want to check out the storylines.

I even turned on the Spanish commentary. LOL!

This is cheaper now too which is good, can be had for under $30. I would rent it for sure. It's decent and I think with some refinement of the controls + add more move sets they can really do a bang up job with a sequel.
