True. But I think it could also do with a lack of guys that really know how to be a heal.

HHH, Jericho, and Punk are 3 of the biggest most loved guys in professional wrestling but all 3 can get the crowd to boo them when they want.

I think its more of the audience appreciating good acts. Theyve been given so much lame **** over the years that even good heels get them excited.

Then again I dont remember the last time heels did something heelish beyond beating up a good guy. Thats antiquated and it does nothing for the people anymore most of the time. Unless its someone big like Shield or Bryan getting beat up. And even then the crowd can be meh depending on the arena.

Then there is the fact that heels have been playing to the audience more and more recently including Bray Wyatt and Barrett. If the crowd starts chanting at the heel's wishes, then they aren't exactly heels.

It might be a symptom of a slight lack of good babyfaces.

Kofi is in my opinion a really good face. He should be up there at some point.

Cody Rhodes could be one of the best faces in wrestling given the chance.
