Re: 2015 Royal Rumble (1/25/15)

I like Reigns, and I want him to succeed, but he feels like a football player trying to wrestle. I think he needs another year of wrestling and learning more moves under his belt before he can be considered as winning the Rumble.

I don't think the reaction will be like last year if Reigns wins, he still seems to get cheered pretty loudly. I'd like to think the people in charge wouldn't be dumb enough to have him be the one to eliminate Bryan either, but stranger things have hapened

I'm one of the few here who defend Reigns solely due to the fact that he's still relatively new to wrestling. The E is doing him no favors for the future by shoving him down our throats.

He absolutely can not win the Rumble. The fans will turn quick, and it's not fair to him. It's clear he still needs a lot of work.

They haven't already? The best he can hope for at this point is that he keeps the women and children on his side.

It absolutely is fair to him too. How is it not fair that fans don't like a boring, awkward dude that does nothing save for a couple spots? He's not where he needs to be at this point in his career.

Not calling him a complete wash at this point though, he's young in wrestling years and still has plenty of time to learn.

You know who else the fans hated but he turned it around eventually? The Rock. Ain't nobody chanting Die, Roman, Die at this point yet.

Nah, I'd say that the majority of fans haven't turned yet. He still gets arguably the second best reaction of anyone (currently) on the main roster. There will always be people booing, unless your name is Daniel Bryan.

And the not fair comment stems from the fact that the higher ups aren't doing him any favors. He clearly needs more in ring work and CERTAINLY needs more work on the mic, but instead of letting him progress in some lower level fueds, he's consistently in the main event where he is outclassed. If they force a Rumble victory onto him and then the title, it just won't work, and that's coming from someone who actually likes Roman.

I'm rooting for Reigns to win the Rumble now just for it to piss off everyone, of course he isn't near ready but he is one of my favorites and a lot of people dislike him so i'll get a good laugh

It's definitely too soon for a Rumble win, but I could see him winning the MITB match. That's around 6-7 months away so he has time to develop more. Even when you win MITB, you might hold on to it for a few more months.

Re: 2015 Royal Rumble (1/25/15)

I'm more excited that 55 has returned to the OS forums than I am for the Rumble. Welcome back, man!

As I've said, I really hope with Bryan back, he wins the Royal Rumble. I like Reigns and he has star potential, but he's not there yet. Putting him in the WM main event would likely do more harm than good at this point in his career.
