Proof that babyfaces and heels actually still exist. Kenta vs Ibushi, in Ibushi's hometown. And Ibushi actually won. What a concept.

Re: New Japan Pro Wrestling Discussion

The NJPW show Fighting Spirit Unleashed that was held in New York tonight was delayed due to someone sabotaging the event. The New York State Athletic Commission requires an ambulance and EMTs at every event, someone called the ambulance company and told them the show was cancelled. The ambulance company then made other plans after being told the show wasn't happening. They got an ambulance from the FDNY, but the state told them they needed EMTs and needed another ambulance, holding up the show.

Re: New Japan Pro Wrestling Discussion

HUGE announcement coming from Japan this week, big enough to where Big Dave Meltzer and Bryan are doing a show about it. No one confirming what it is but the popular theories are:

A. NXT Japan
B. AEW/NJPW Relationship
C. WWE/NJPW Relationship

May not having anything to do with NJPW but I figured I'd just post it in this thread anyway

I tend to assume the least when they tease a big announcement lol. NXT Japan is likely to happen, but would not be huge to me. AEW/NJPW would be huge, but I sense NJPW isn't extremely interested.

Edit: just to add, a WWE/NJPW partnership would be the saddest thing ever. If I ever see Okada on Raw I give up on life.

Re: New Japan Pro Wrestling Discussion

They're saying it's not an AEW thing, and they'll announce it on Friday.
