Maybe if the NXT Takeover crowds didn't come back the very next night, for way higher ticket prices, things would be different.

True test of NXT's draw would be to do a Takeover PPV completely seperate from a main roster PPV weekend.

thoughts on SummerSlam I really enjoyed the show. some of the endings I didn't like but that's whatever.

Miz-Bryan was probably my favorite match of the night. Rollins/Ziggler was good, Styles/Joe was soo good I didn't know Joe still had one of those in him because usually his great matches now are quick sprints. New Day/BB was v good thought that's the one DQ decision i didn't like. I enjoyed the Reigns/Lesner and it was brilliant to introduce Braun like that for the match.

I thought all the squash matches made perfect sense.

Becky should've won because man is Charlotte horrible she's regressed so badly but I'll take the direction they went in.

also Revival should've won on Pre-Show.

There were a few things I would have done differently, but overall I thought it was an above average ppv. Didn't leave me dying to see Raw, but also not horrible. My three highlights were the reverse superplex spot from the Rollins match, Strowman calling Brock Beastie Boy, and Lesnar launching the briefcase all the way up the ramp. I know I'm in the minority but I thought last night was better than takeover

I don't think Vince cares that NXT shows are generally more well-received.

NXT has the benefit of not having to fill over 5 hours of programming time on a weekly basis and only runs 4-5 Takeover specials. Their house show schedule is very light as well, allowing the performers more time to work out how those Takeover shows are going to look and feel, so in some ways they should be better than the WWE shows.

NXT also benefits from the underground branding WWE put on it though so it's not a total waste for them - people give more slack to things they'd complain about on the main roster because NXT is still the "cool" brand. It'd be open to more scrutiny if it had more viewers.

I also thought summer slam was better. NXT was good and potentially had the best match(tag titles) between either show. But the story telling was better imo.
