I hope HHH isn't talking about Summerslam 92 being a failure considering it made about 3.5 million in revenue. I mean sure the PPV buys were down significantly but it was far from a failure.

I see the revenues posted online but I can’t locate an article that cites the expenses. Maybe they were unusually higher for this event, thus knocking down the overall profit.

Or maybe he’s just referencing the hit it made on PPV buys.

Or maybe he’s a moron. Could be a mixture of all three.

The attendance and revenue from SummerSlam 92 is even more impressive when you consider WWF was far from a hot product at the time and were entering, arguably, their worst stretch in terms of star power and booking creativity.
