I think it got to a 100k watching on YouTube during Danielson and Suzuki.

Have been a fan of Sammy since day one. Dude can go in the ring.

That's a pretty good litmus test for wrestling fandom lol. I will take Punk vs Sydal. I'll pass on watching Becky Lynch and Sasha do their super forced heel gimmicks against each other.

Re: AEW Rampage Thread

Combining both hours…Danielson and Suzuki was everything pro wrestling is about. Bobby Fish and Lee Morriarty impressed the hell out of me. Punk and Sydal also had a hell of a match.

It was a good night of pro wrestling.

Suzuki/Danielson was sheer pro wrestling wish fulfillment.

Sure, whatever.

I enjoy Matt and Punk, but there is absolutely no surprise or suspense in that match. You know who and how Punk is going over even if Sydal is a great worker and sells his *** of.

I'll take the two persons that can go, are in their physical primes and put on a solid match, but yeah me wanting to watch those two makes me a "sports entertainment" fan.

Re: AEW Rampage Thread

I like fresh matchups. Yes, Sasha and Becky can go.

But I've seen it. I've seen it several times. A quick jaunt over to the Internet Wrestling Database...last night was the 21st time they have been in a singles match together since 2014 when they had their first match on NXT (and that's not counting the multi-woman matches they have been in). I've not seen all of those...but I've seen several of them. It does nothing for me now.

Punk and Sydal before last night had wrestled four times. Two of those in the indies in IWA-Mid South. The other two in WWE in 2014 (both of which were under four minutes). That's a fresher matchup to me. Yeah, I know the result, because there is no way Punk is losing to Sydal. But to me, it's about the story and the journey. It was a very enjoyable journey.

It's all moot though as I don't get FS1, but even then, I would've switched.

Lol and I’m the one who gets called out for having a biased gimmick

Re: AEW Rampage Thread

I just don't really enjoy their characters. Becky strutting around strikes me as extra fake, for whatever reason. In-ring wise, obviously they can go. Especially compared to AEW pushing out the likes of Anna Jay and The Bunny. If Sasha wrestled Becky in another promotion, without the patterned WWE production making it feel like I'm watching WWE 2K, I'd be way more interested in them.

As far as having a biased gimmick, the difference is I'm not going to show up in the Raw/Smackdown thread every week pretending that I'm not super biased, hate-watching, etc. I can barely get through a youtube clip of the WWE product lol.
