WWE Raw & Smackdown April Thread

Have to admit, with Cody Rhodes back, he has freshen up RAW for me in a way. The shows were getting very stale with tons of rematches. But him in, he has a fresh set of opponents to go through especially since this is a different Cody now. The opening segment with The Miz was pretty solid with great mic work from both men. The match between them was pretty good too. Seth Rollins coming out to want a rematch with Cody is fine since too. Are the Misterios going to be the new sacrificial lambs to the heels now? At least Dominik sold well for Veer. That Styles/Priest match was decent too although the non finish made no sense for me.

Bobby Lashley held his own on the mic against MVP. He has come a long way for sure. Bianca Belair gets a fresh opponent in Sonya Deville for her Title and I'm fine with that. Nice segment there. I did kinda laughed at the 24/7 segment too. The tag team stuff to end the show was fine too. Solid matches and everything. We are now wondering if the Usos will get the job done in unifying the Titles. But I hope that wont happen because RAW has a nice tag team scene while Smackdown needs help. My other issue is that I wish the United States Title will get some exposure but its all focused on the Tag Team Titles. RAW was solid this week overall.

I’m actually kinda excited for Sonya v Bianca. Sonya’s a great heel and she can goin the ring. Should be a pretty fun feud.

Standing ovation for Veer. He’s one of my favorites now. More Mysterio choke outs please.

I liked what I saw last night after the first hour (missed that cause I wasn't home), and that tag team match to finish was really good. If WWE ever took their tag division(s) seriously they could hang with any company.

The talent is there but the lack of dedication isn't.

And I see they pulled the old name shortening with Theory (that just sounds like it should have a 'first' name, though) and the IWC hasn't lost its mind. Bravo!

Maybe they start ramping up the Theory/Balor feud for the US title cause right now it has no heat.

Solid show but nothing too spectacular.

Them playing into & joking about Vince's idiosyncrasies on-air is good. Especially when the online portion of the (US) audience harps on his approved word usage or which words are "banned."

It's WWE so I can never be too sure, but what a gigantic miss it would've been to not lean in to what Cody used to be to help him go where they want him to go. As a Cody mark, I'm excited to see where he goes overall, and to see if WWE can break him off from using the same formula in all of his matches.
