REMINDER: New OS Forums Are Coming on May 1
Hey OS community,
YES! It’s actually happening! After years (okay, closer to a decade) of whispers, teases, missed deadlines, cryptic posts and forum threads that aged like fine wine, the long-promised forum upgrade is finally almost here. This isn’t a drill. This isn’t a dream. This is real.
We’re officially counting down to May 1 (sorry, can't provide an exact time), when we’ll launch a test Forum powered by the latest version of vBulletin 6. And no, this isn’t a clean slate—we’re bringing everything with us. The test version will include our full forum history, from the very first time we integrated vBulletin into OS all the way through April 30, prior to the cutover.
Once we’re ready for the full relaunch, our goal is to seamlessly merge everything from the test site into the final version of the new forums.
This is where you come in! During this test phase, we want your feedback—the good, the bad and everything in between. Try out the new forum, explore the new features and let us know what’s working and what’s not. Meanwhile, we’ll be fine-tuning things on the backend, adjusting server settings based on real-time traffic.
A few things to know:
- Your current username and password will still work—no need to create a new account.
- Redirects will be in place, so your favorite links and bookmarks won’t break.
- We appreciate you all being part of this process and can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Stay tuned...
