What you keep getting messed up is I'm not saying I dont get angry. I get angry ALL THE TIME. The difference is I dont start calling people ******s or chinks or crackers or wetbacks because I'm angry.

People who do that are really ****ty people. LOL. They just are. There are SO MANY to express your anger without resulting to racial slurs. It sucks that you and your friends have trouble controlling yourself enough to prevent yourself from using racial slurs when you get angry.
What are you talking about?

The amount of public support Hogan got compared to Donald Sterling
is not even COMPARABLE the fact that you're trying to deny this
or down play it is you grasping for straws.

A lot of people have been coming out and saying that some people
just talk **** in private eg. look at the Rocks comments to the situation.

This forum is the only place that doesn't seem to think its fathomable
for people to say these types of things and not mean it.

I know the comments are severe but the fact you can't even wrap
your mind around the fact that it's even a possibility that Hogan was
talking **** at the time considering his history is unreal.

Also for the 8th time congratulations to you and others for being
saints and never slipping up. I'm not sure how using racial remarks
once is any different then wife beating or making homophobic remarks.

Booker T went to jail for armed robbery and paid hes debt to society.
Does that mean he's a criminal for the rest of his life or that he can't
change?

The Ultimate Warrior made his homophobic and anti muslim
remarks "publicly" on one or more occasion and lets face it none
of you care because most of you aren't gay or Muslim hell the WWE
even named a award after him. The double standards are ridiculous.

You know Dylann Roof had black friends, right?
Like the Rock said on this topic "We’ve all talked trash" well
apparently except for people on this forum.

How many times in basketball and Football do black players
dawg white players for being little white boys and crackers.
Are they racist? maybe or it could be smack talk on the field.

I've had people throw racist or religious remarks my way and
I know them well enough to know theyre just trying to be a dick.

Comedians have used racial jokes in their repertoire for years
but at that setting its acceptable because theyre "joking"

Hogans history and what was going on in his life provides enough
evidence to suggest he was just talking **** at the time.

I understand the severity of the remarks and that the U.S. is the
most racist country in the world and that racial tensions are high
between blacks and whites for what seems to be like 300 years now.

There's also a chance that even if he felt this way at the time he
doesn't anymore since it was 8 years ago and this individual has
dramatically changed his life.

So for you guys trying to paint me in a corner what's your take
on all of the many black Hogan fans and friends that agree with
me and don't believe he's racist?

You guys are aware your opinion on this incident is far from universal?

Rock said "We've all talked trash," not that we've all gone on racist tirades. Your example isn't even comparable.

The comedy space is completely different and even in that, making a comedic career off of race jokes has become rarer and less accepted. Amy Schumer has come under fire recently for racially insensitive jokes. Your best comparison would be what Michael Richards said to that heckler in 06 at the Laugh Factory.

What history? His relationships with "8-foot tall ******* worth a hundred million dollars?" The only ones he can rationalize tolerating?

They, like you, keep glossing over the fact that HE SAID HE WAS RACIST. What 'evidence' do you have that supports your theory that he's changed his opinions so much over the past 8 years?

The sad thing here is that your rationale is the exact reason why making progress amidst the current racial tensions is so damn hard. This isn't meant to be personal, but there's always this conglomerate that goes above and beyond to defend, justify, or explain away every act of racism. Then they go and find a black person or two that agrees with them and use that as credibility for their opinion. Most folks who haven't experienced or seen racism up close would only know it if it hit them in the face and Hulk Hogan did his best to do that. He even gave the two piece combo of saying the N-word and saying he's racist. Yet here you are, 160+ posts later, still trying to convince us that a man who said he's racist isn't actually racist.

What's funny is that the only arguments you have to support your argument is "The Rock and Shaq said he isnt racist" and "Sometimes people yell racist **** when they are angry and dont mean it"

Your first argument is flawed. I'll say it again: Just because someone is occasionally polite or cool with a minority doesnt mean they cant be racist or hold prejudiced beliefs. There are thousands of people who if they met the Rock or Shaq would be polite and nice towards them because they are celebrities. Those same people are probably nice to the minorities that they work with. Those same people also would be furious if their daughter brought a black man home as her boyfriend.

Your second argument is equally flawed and I find it funny that you keep ducking this question (likely because you cant answer it and it ruins ur argument):

What did the guys race have to do with any of this?

Again, Hogan was mad that Brooke went to work with someone else on her music career. A son of a billionaire. That is what Hogan was mad at. So why is he bringing up his race? Why is he calling him a ******? Why is he saying that marrying ******s is OK if they are rich basketball players? Perhaps because he really believes those things and he regularly refers to blacks that way.

This tape isnt the only thing that indicates Hogan has an issue with blacks and black culture. A few years ago there was a dress code instituted at his restaurant that argyuably was directed at black consumers. ****, a week ago they released a tape of him talking to his son using the word "******".

Also if there is so much support......where is the "Reinstate Hogan" campaign? Why isnt the WWE being flooded with tweets, emails, letters and phone calls about how Hogan has been unjustifiably fired? Where is the #ReinstateHogan hashtag?

There is nothing because most people see it the way I do. Either he truly believes those things he says or he has real anger management issues that cause him to have some sort of racial tourettes. Either way he shouldnt be representing the WWE.

Also if there are times you get angry and that causes you to shout out racial slurs....get some help. Seriously.

Regardless of whether I think he's a racist he still said what he said. It's not appropriate man. That's what a lot of people have said, even his most ardent supporters.

I'm sure he regrets what he said. That's what happens when you get fired and eviscerated on various social media. No one is comparing his actions to other people. You're the only one that is doing it.

Like I said before, you're basically using other examples to fit your point that Hulk isn't a racist. What we are saying is that what he said is wrong, plain and simple. Maybe in your world everyone you hang out with brushes these comments aside. In my world you lose your job for making comments like that.

Watch "finding Hulk Hogan"
It's on YouTube from 2010
Hulk Hogan changes his entire life and attitude in 2009 2 years after these comments were made. Was he racist then maybe we're the comments wrong of course but people change and I truley believe the Hulk Hogan of now is nowhere even close to the man that says those things in 2007

a) When the Rock says in "We've all talked a little trash" in regards
to Hogans comments. Read between the lines and what he's really
saying. What he's saying is what I've been saying this entire thread.

b) The man is 62 years old there is no other evidence that he's racist
in his entire life other then when he was at his lowest point.

c) You are obviously a black man living in the United States I have
no problem with your viewpoint or how you feel regarding the stuff
that goes on in your country I'm not trying to change your mind.

d) I don't know how I can explain this any further but I'll try. I'm not
trying to convince you of anything. But if you said something Racial,
Homophobic etc or committed a crime etc I would "leave the possibility"
out there that it was an isolated incident or a tirade before casting
full judgment on you that you are those things. When it comes to Sterling
I knew right off the bat he was racist and meant what he said. With
Hogan I believe he was just talking ****.

Listen you can downplay Hogans black friends supporting him being
Celebrity boys all you want...

But you can't downplay all the black people out there that are fans of
Hogan supporting him saying what I've being saying that they don't
believe he's truly racist. What is your answer to that?

Now you're trying to make up a supposed dress code at his restaurant
to back up your claim? Hogan has been dressing like a black guy himself
for years.

Nobody is downplaying the severity of his remarks. None of us said
he shouldn't pay the consequences for his remarks by the WWE that's
why there is no #ReinstateHogan and they're not being flooded with
requests to bring him back.

You and another poster want to use that as ammo against me when
I never said it or advocated it...

All I've ever said is I believe there is a strong possibility that he really
isn't racist and was just talking **** at the time which Hogan does about
every topic he's ever discussed.

There are tons of black fans out there that think the same as me and
there is a ton of white people that think he truly is racist and are done
with him for good. We all look at Hogan differently and will have our
own opinions.

I don't know what else can be said but we agree to disagree on Hogan
