As the season gets closer to the end there looks to be a log jam at the top of the standings. Interesting enough it looks like #3 Oregon may have the clearest shot at playing in the national championship game.

#2 Ohio State has one tough game left to end their regular season at #5 Michigan. As long as Michigan doesn't slip up in their remaining games they will assure themselves the Big Ten Leaders championship, (Michigan holds the tie breaker with Nebraska as they beat the Huskers head to head) and a rematch with Ohio State in the Conference Championship game. If Michigan and Ohio State split the two games I believe it will knock both of them out of the title hunt.

In the SEC #1 Alabama has had no serious threats this season, but faces a huge game against #4 Mississippi State this week. The winner of that game will all but seal their spot in the SEC Championship game. Tennessee will be watching this weeks games very closely as they need help, but I think they'll get it. If #24 South Carolina beats #7 Florida this week Tennessee will have either a rematch with Alabama or play Mississippi State for all the SEC marbles.

Finally we have #3 Oregon. The Ducks should be able to sit back and watch the previous teams beat each other unmercifully as they have one tough game waiting for them in the PAC 12 Championship game against an Arizona team who just went through a coaching change. They play 3 top 25 teams in the final 4 weeks, but none of them should pose much a threat to the high flying Ducks who should win easily all while increasing their strength of schedule rating.

My prediction #1 Alabama vs #2 Oregon for the National Championship.
