Madden game engine flawed and outdated!!!

Its obvious that each release of Madden is basically roster updates and add-ons to the tried and true core engine. They have done nothing revolutionary or groudbreaking other than the initial madden engine which was great at the time but severly outdated in this day and age. This is why every year we have the same silly glitches and problems because the foundation madden is built on was origionally flawed. Its impossible to correct these issues without building a new Madden from the ground up. I don't think this can be done with the current 11 mo dev cycle.

This is why 2k rocked so many people because it wasn't flat out better than Madden but it did a lot of things better than Madden. The players moved and responded more realistically so instead of seeing things like ridicoulous INTs you saw the CB trailing a WR realistically and then reaching and moving to make the INTs. Runners could cut and juke without spinning out of bounds or into defenders. DL and DE didn't stick to OL like glue because the swim and rip moves, turning the corner and actually getting to the QB worked. This is what a lot of people love about 2k so this is why so many people are drawn to that game rather than the same ol Madden.

EA please trust me we all love Madden, we all probably play it everyday otherwise we wouldn't be pleading on these boards. I know I speak for myself and maybe many others on here but...trust me if you guys re-do your core game engine so that players move and respond realistically, and maybe some adaptive A.I. in a attempt to give us a true life football game we will not hold it against you. Do not continue to give us the same old outdated game with a add on or patch and some updated graphics. Are you worried about upsetting the blind masses and loyal fan base by presenting them with a new updated engine? Is this whats stopping EA from building a updated engine from scratch you can build it so that it still has the same Madden feel but just make it work right. Trust me we will buy it and even the true die hards will come aboard because thats whats standing between EA and a great football game. Plus you have the NFL liscense so thats 80% of the battle already. I think your hurting your reputation more by not doing this and giving us the same thing with a new coat of paint.

I don't think 2k was SO MUCH better than Madden. But I agree some updates are needed.

Well same 'ol plea man...the same over and over again...the same 'ol comparisons..2k vs. Madden...i hear ya...majority agree...however its aint hurting EA to continue to pump out a game we still buy regularly. M10 doesnt suck...but like Live, its feels arcade like...I get tired off pleading and seeing people people blog about it...THEY HEAR YOU...they see these comments. But til the folks really in charge feels like theres a need for change?...well there u have it...

Madden needs to do like we all do after we get trashed by one of our friends or homies and thats get in the lab! After losses where people expose flaws or weaknesses in my game I'll lock the doors and really buckle down in the lab to get my game right. I saw a suggestion where they don't release Madden until they get it right even if it takes a year or two and charge us a few bucks for roster updates and enhancements while they work on a new madden game for todays gamers.
