You may be 0-2 but you have shown that you can score against P5 schools witj a big talemt gap. Your Defense has kept both teams under 50. Both good signs that things can turm quickly in your favor

The 4-2-5 is giving some interesting looks. I love the 4-4 scheme so I have some formation subs with 4 linebackers in to make a 4-2-5 set give me the 4-4 look and I'll occasionally blitz out of it. It has added a nice dimension to the defense. Our biggest thing is the defensive line is terrible at shedding blocks which made me getting gashed last week feel ok. Last week we got torched through the air, this week it was cleats on the ground but that suited both teams styles. I like our personnel a lot, it's just a matter of being able to make big stops when necessary. Thanks!
I love this so far. Yes, you're getting gashed. it's going to be a long, difficult season most likely. I honestly am not sure if I've seen a worse team out of the gate than the one you've taken charge of, which is definitely a great key in your favor in terms of realism. I'm rooting for a win this year! I honestly don't think there's any way I could take that team and get a win. But I'm no longer any good. I was once very good, that time is no longer.
Here at The Daily Dutchman (A Penn A&T institutional publication), we have dedicated a weekly section for our athletic programs to get highlighted.
Coaches Corner:
Here, Penn A&T Head Football Coach Tim Keyser will do a quick (honest) breakdown of last week's performance followed by a rundown of their upcoming opponent.
Tim Keyser:
[On Marshall]
How we doing Dutchmen fans? We have our first home game this week against Marshall. I know we haven't given you much too cheer about in our first two games but I'm also sure your expectations weren't the highest. Well I just want you to know that our expectations never change. We practice and gameplan to win, no matter who we play.
Marshall has such an underrated offense when they are clicking. Their quarterback Cato is unfortunately down with an injury and won't play against us. I say unfortunately because who wants to see a kid get hurt. Although, I will say it's nice not having to worry about him taking over a game. Their backup is solid but inexperienced. We have to look to cause commotion at the line and get to him.
This defense has a stout defensive line who gets to the quarterback and forces throws. Tyler (Ruberio) will really have to keep his releases quick and we will put him in a position to be successful. As always though, our approach, is run to setup the pass. Always run first. We have been forced to get away from that in the first two games because of the outcomes; we hope that isn't the case this week.

Thanks Hellisan. Yeah, like I said to start, I'm pretty ok with getting taken out back behind the woodshed. I would like to get one win and I know I probably will get a few. I really wanted to try and make it realistic to a new team starting up even though a team would never start up in FBS
Fightin Dutchmen hang tough with Marshall, fall 37-31
Arthur Dorsey scores his 2nd touchdown after spinning passed Corey Tindal
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Marshall Thundering Herd defeated Pennsylvania A&T 37-31 at Steve Van Buren Field on Saturday.
Blake Frohnapfel threw for 421 yards and two touchdowns to lead the visiting Thundering Herd to their first victory of 2013.
After both teams opened the game with field goals, the sky opened up on the scoreboard.
After a Kevin Grooms touchdown rush from four yards out, Penn A&T had a quick answer. Tyler Ruberio found Arthur Dorsey on a play-action pass over the middle that the defense surely bit on. The score was knotted at 10 after one.
Marshall had a successful second quarter after Fronapfel scampered in from seven yards out. With 12 seconds left in the half, he also hit an uncovered Tommy Schuler in stride for a 69-yard touchdown pass. A Penn A&T 36-yard field goal in between those two scores, making the halftime score 24-13.
The visitors started the third quarter with the ball and scored easily on their first drive with Frohnapfel finding running back Kevin Grooms on a screen, scoring from eight yards out.
Penn A&T knew they needed to answer and they did. After a 48-yard Clifton Moss kickoff return, the offense went to work. Ruberio connected with Dorsey again, this time from 23 yards out with Dorsey doing some shifty footwork to find the endzone. After the successful two-point conversion, the score was set at 31-21.
On the play before the score, Dutchmen tailback Gabe McCune was tackled for a one-yard loss and needed helped off the field. He was diagnosed with a strained back and is out for an indefinite amount of time.
A 29-yard Justin Haig field goal would give Marshall the 13 point lead. However, the hosts felt a surge. After another solid return from Moss, the Dutchmen started with good field position. The passing game dominated this drive until Clarence Jones capped it off from five yards out to make the score 34-28 Marshall.
On the ensuing kickoff, Penn A&T kicker Hugo Daubert made the tackle only to draw an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. After starting a scrum on the Marshall sideline, Hugo then bumped into an official. This sequence of events forced Daubert's ejection from the game and the Dutchmen were now without their kicker. Daubert, the Englishmen and former Towson soccer player is in his first year of competitive football.
These events led to the fourth quarter, where quickly, Ruberio tossed an interception in Marshall territory. The Penn A&T defense was ready to go, picking up two consecutive sacks from Thomas Bennett and Sheldon Mintz, respectively. The visitors were forced to punt.
All the Fightin Dutchmen could muster was a field goal by punter Richard Rowe, bringin the score to 34-31. On the Herd's next drive, Frohnapfel had a pass intercepted by Rocco Goins. The hosts could not put any points on the board and Ruberio was forced to leave the game with a bruised non-throwing shoulder. He did not return.
The visitors started their drive with 3:24 to play. After a few big plays, highlighted by a 42-yard screen play to Grooms. They would cap off with a field goal of their own, regaining the six-point lead, 37-31.
With only a 1:16 remaining, Penn A&T was pressed for time with two timeouts. Moss gave them great field position with a 46-yard return; however, backup Ritchy Teague was sacked for a 16-yard loss on the first play ending all hopes of a last second heroic touchdown and Penn A&T's first ever win.
