Does this work with Excel 2007? I run 2003 on my home PC, but if I can write down the info, I can plug it into excel on my work PC and be fine, right?

I know 2010+ works fine. I can't account for 2007 but I feel like someone on here was having problems with that version as well. It was written on the 2013 version and not all functions may be available on the 2007 version.

I hope it will work, definitely not going to buy 2013. Is there any other way to get it to work?

As for compatibility with iPad, it would appear the tool definitely doesn't work on there for some reason. I can only guarantee it will work on Windows/Excel 2013 or newer. Any other spread sheet application, older version of office etc. it's going to be pot luck whether or not it works.

Wish I could give a better answer, but I am one person doing this in my very limited free time for no pay, and I haven't got the time or resources to check the tool in different devices and software, let alone actually attempt to make it compatible if there is a degraded user experience. Sorry
Nathy, it does work on the iPad. I'm currently using it on excel for iPad. When it first loads up it is a read only document, so you have to save a copy then you can input, edit etc.

Would you mind sharing how you were able to do this?

If I try to save either the protected or unprotected version, the option is greyed out.

I'm loading the docs from the iCloud drive if that makes a difference.

I unzip the file with an app called itoolsfile.

Then I pressed the upload button on top right of the screen.( the box with up arrow)

It then opens in excel. From here you make read only copy editable by saving a copy by pressing save a copy on the yellow bar near top of the screen
