Ok, I'll give you Puello, but Nimmo and Cecchini? If there was an A-, I'll even bite. But both high school players who were drafted in top 10 are considered in between. Heck, it's a great debate. Expecting BIG from these 2 in lower ball this year.

A+: Wheeler
A: D'Arnaud
A-: Syndergaard
B+: Fullmer, Flores
B: Montero, Mateo, Tapia, Cecchini, Nimmo
C+: Puello

IMO of course

We only have a limited # of A's to hand out. Neither guy projects as a star, both are above average players.

If we had the ability to have unlimited A's, I might consider it but too many A's leads to early retirements and other franchise problems.

Montero has two above average pitches. Mateo doesn't have the same stuff as Montero and isn't as highly touted, therefore he is a C in my books.

I actually think Montero is a borderline B+

The reason I say that about Montero is because he had a GREAT year almost out of nowhere.. But a solid B potential is pretty accurate.
