It's nothing more than an integrity thing at this point. Does EA have integrity or do they not.

I think I'm going to be done with NCAA for a while. I've taken the past couple years off and jumped back in this year after hearing good talk about it. I mean the game itself is ok but the gameplay and the mystery that is the sliders is ridiculous every year. It's like the sliders become more of a game than the game itself. It's so frustrating. I wish it was like The Show. That game has spot on realism, and I haven't adjusted those sliders since March.

SEC, I know your trying your best to fix this game, and this is no knock on you. This game has no defense whatsoever. I played 2 qtrs last night with your latest slider adjustments. It was like they would score and then I would score. Just back and forth. The qb's percentage was like 80%. This game is just so unrealistic. I'm thinking about putting this game to bed and selling it.

Maybe Madden will be better. Let's face it Madden is usually better. Can't decide whether to wait for the next gen version, or buying both gens. With this game being so bad, I might just get both of them, but definitely play the demo before I purchase either one. I wish EA would say there's a patch on the way, but this year I think they say just forget it.

Anyway, that's my rant for the day.

I wish you the best.

Re: SECElit3's NCAA 14 Heisman Sliders - Built for Realism and Challenge

Just transitioned over to your sliders for my 4th year in my Minnesota (ranked 89 ovr ranked #19) dynasty.

Game 1 is against Bama (95 ovr ranked #9) on a neutral field and I won 10-9. Game played very well overall except I will probably have to lower the threshold b/c my 94 speed 95 acc HB was having problems getting to the outside against DE's coming off blocks.

Stats: Bama {} Minny
Rush 20-147-0 tds {} 38- 174- 1 td
Pass 12-20-111 yds {} 9-16-104 yds
3rd down 4-10 {} 7-11
Turnovers 1 int, 2 fmb {} 1 int, 1 fmb

Losing 9-3 in the 4th when I got a strip sack that set up a go ahead TD. 3 mins left and I needed a stop. They completed a 19 yd pass to cross midfield... WR broke 2 tackles and then the 3rd defender ripped the ball loose which I recovered. Got a few great 3rd down conversions to run the clock out.

Run a mostly power run O w/ some I form triple option and a pistol pass plays mixed in. Running the ball felt really difficult with their linemen coming off blocks really fast and making a lot of plays. Overall a really solid game

A patch won't fix it. It needs to be tore down and rebuilt. The programmers failed miserably this gen. If they had competition this wouldn't be the product they feed us every year.

Re: SECElit3's NCAA 14 Heisman Sliders - Built for Realism and Challenge

Personally, I thought SEC had it about right with his 7/15-7/23 settings. Then IMO, he tweaked something and that moved away from the sweet spot where I thought he wanted to be. Since then, I feel he's been "Chasing" , trying to get back to where he was originally. JMO
That being said, I've edited my sliders based on his latest changes.
I have to say, very early on, I like what I see. Patch or no Patch.
I think we forget that last year, the NCAA IRL looked exactly like they WAS being played in a Video Game. Anybody remember Baylor/West Virginia?? I think we tend to want NCAA to play like Madden, which truthfully isn't accurate.
My main concern is that the results stay true to form. I don't want to see Alabama going 1-5.
Hopefully these sliders give me that.
My thanks to SECelite. He's one of those guys we lesser beings depend upon.

I agree, but on the other hand Being an FSU fan myself, I watched us give up 13 ppg last year 13! So the CPU should not be throwing 20/23 200 yds 3Tds every game on me, it's just wrong.

Re: SECElit3's NCAA 14 Heisman Sliders - Built for Realism and Challenge

I had a very strange game in my Dynasty last night. I was Air Force, playing Boise State on the road. They're a B and I'm a C, so I was just hoping to be competitive. Anyway, their QB started out on fire, literally 15 for 15 for like 200 yards and 3 TDs in the first half. I was behind 28-10 at halftime, struggling to get my running game going.

It got weird in the second half, as Boise's QB just went ice cold. Like, he barely completed a pass in the entire second half (and OT, as we'll get to later). I think he had like one completion that wasn't a screen pass in the second half. I ended up coming back and tying the game at 28-28, so we went to overtime.

I got stopped and missed a field goal on my first possession, so I figured I was toast. Then I sacked him twice in a row (forgot to mention, I had six or seven sacks). They ended up out of Field Goal range and I intercepted a Hail Mary on fourth down. I stopped them again in the second overtime (they missed the field goal) and then I ran for a TD to win 34-28.

Air Force beating Boise isn't totally outside the realm of possibility, but it was just so weird how their QB started off totally perfect (15/15) and then went completely cold. I didn't make any adjustments to the sliders, or my playcalling. My pass rush picked up. I definitely feel I get too many sacks, because the CPU QB holds the ball for a ridiculous amount of time. I'm almost never breaking through the line and sacking him in less than three seconds, they're almost always coverage sacks.
