Re: 2013 Hall of Fame Ballot Discussion

The guy who voted for Sele MUST be the same guy who voted for Bret Boone a couple of years ago. Either he adores the 2001 Mariners or he took part in some shady deals to get a HOF ballot.

I commend the BBWAA for showing high high character and integrity by not voting in the people that were the best of their generation. I'll be damned if people criticize them. The BBWAA with their actions today are upholding the purity that is the Baseball Hall of Fame and their fine fine organization.

Baseball is being ruined by sanctimonious douchebags all over the place.

Aaron Sele really? How does that guy still have a job, that's just unforgivable.

Re: 2013 Hall of Fame Ballot Discussion

HOF voting in all sports is ridiculous, but this just amplifies it for baseball.

Steroids/PED use be damned, Barry Bonds should be in the HOF first ballot, same with Clemens.
The fact Jack Morris got nearly double the votes those two guys got is ridiculous to me. I don't necessarily like either Bonds or Clemens, but they were dominant.
I'm of the campaign that Jack Morris should never sniff the HOF.

Basically, this is stating any power hitter from the era won't be getting in. I mean, what about Griffey? ARod?
